A peek here of a western electric 13a taking shape in my all purpose made workroom. I oiled all my tools that were in storage and straight of the box they had not lost their cutting edges. Nothing short of a razor sharp cut will enable the level of precison needed.
The side sections of the western electric 12a or 13Audio are a real challenge. True to my values, and customers expectations, all the pieces of wood are hand shaped one by one. It's long but it's what I enjoy doing. I will not accept any "approximate" fits….these sections are glued with tradional hide glue just as it was done back in 1925/26.
All fun….
Wow. I can almost smell the wood. I deeply admire your skills and uncompromising commitment.
Hardly can wait until I receive my 12A horns. They certainly will be the last speakers I ever buy.
Many thanks for making these masterpieces available to us.
Yours truly,
Maurice
