Restoring original we12a horns

Now is time to repair these 95 years old babies.

The challenge here is to clean delicately and make all the necessary repairs.

Craft is to do all that whilst retaining the awesome patina vintage western electric equipment can have. All my skills are going to be used.

Here a large section of wood had got chipped off. The insert is the same wood from my stock used for replias I make, All my wood comes from same forest areas as in 1925 for original builds.

How nice to think that the wood insert made is actually now joined with an ancestor who dwelled in the very same forest…
